The name fairy, {perhaps derived from the Fates[the three spirits
(Clotho, Lachsis, and Atrpos) which preside over the destiny of every
individual], or a combination of Gaelic words 'fae' or 'friend' and
'eire' or 'green', hence- 'green friend'} first appears around the
Middle Ages, but these beings in various forms appear from the Jinni of
Arabic Mythology to the Nymphs of the Greeks, and in many indigenous
cultures. Fairies are mythical creatures that are said to be mini human-like
creatures with wings. They are said to have magical powers and are very
small. Different people in different countries have their own names and
beliefs about them. Some believe fairies are fallen angels, too bad for
heaven and too good for hell. Wherever these fallen angels landed was
the type of fairy they would become (ie: if they fell into water, they
became water fairies, if into the woods, a wood nymph, etc.). Some
people believed them to be the spirits of unbaptized children, and so
having no souls, simply perished at death. They can be more than mortal
size or only a few inches high and can assume any appearance they like,
particularly that of a deer or falcon or flower. There are tales of them
kidnapping babies and leaving 'changelings' in their place, or carrying
off adults into Faeryland. If these adults ate or drank there, they
could never more return.
Well, the fae are very sensitive beings, and can sense a kind heart
and your innermost intentions, much the way that animals can. Having an
open and loving heart is the only way you will ever have a chance to
see one of the shining ones. Of course, it goes without saying that you
must actually believe they exist. Your beliefs determine what you
attract into your life. If you believe there are no good men left in
the world, sure enough, you will never meet any even though there are
thousands of them out there. If you believe the shining ones are lovely
creatures from storybooks, then storybooks will be the only place you
will encounter them.
As you first open up to the possibility of the fae making themselves
known to you, you may only catch a glimpse out of the corner of your
eye, or see traces of the tracks they've left behind. If you can answer
'yes' to any of the following questions, chances are you have already
had a close encounter of the magical kind, and were not even aware of
it.

Have you ever seen a flash of light or a sudden quick movement out of the corner of your eye that could not be explained? Have you ever seen flickers of light around your houseplant or flowers?
When out in Nature, have you ever felt the woods themselves were watching you?
While walking down the street, has the fragrance of a plant or flower hit you strongly?
Did you have an "imaginary" playmate?
Have you ever walked through an open field and find yourself brushing away spider webs from your face?
Have you ever heard music or singing from unidentified sources?
Do your dreams often and consistently involve outdoor environments?
Have you ever encountered an old woman while walking in Nature, only to turn around the next moment and find her gone?
Have you ever been sitting outside sitting outside singing or humming softly and seen animals draw closer?
Have you ever found things inexplicably appearing, disappearing, or being rearranged in your house?
Did you ever find yourself excessively sleepy when camping or on extended nature outings?
Do you ever dream of strange beasts or dragons?
Do you ever feel upcoming changes in weather before there are any signs? Are your favorite times of day dawn and dusk? Favorite times of year autumn or spring?***![]()

You answered 'yes' to that many? Well my friend, the
fae are closer than you know, and all you have to do is open your
awareness a little bit, and you'll see for yourself.

It seems that the best times for encountering them are the 'tweens' ~
that magical time between the dark of night and dawn's first light, or
the purple twilight as the sun dips below the horizon just before the
Queen of Night puts on her twinkling crown of jewels. The 'tweens' of
the earth are the best places to look also; where the mountains meet the
stream, or the forest meets the prairie. The more wild and undeveloped
environments are the best places to find them, though a beautiful
garden in the midst of the city has been known to attract the most
adventurous. Try planting some of their favorite plants in your yard .Adding a water fountain or fish pond would be even nicer. And make
sure your home is clean and neat, filled with lots of flowers, and
magical treasures like feathers and special stones. Fill the air with
beautiful music

A very long time ago before
humans existed on earth there was only earth
spirit.
As an evolutionary step for this planet
fairies, gnomes, elf's, and some other creatures
we only hear about in fairy tales began to
manifest in the forest from earth spirit.
Over a period of time these creatures
developed into individuals within the earths
collective and eventually became physical.
This, of course, was after vegetation and
trees.
For
ages the enchanted forest flourished and grew.
The fairies eventually became individuals
as did most of the other forest creatures.
All the creatures in the enchanted forest
were given a choice to become and individual or
stay earth spirit in Gaia form.
About 50% of the fairies chose to become
individuals.
You have to understand that there are
many bipedal humanoids in the universe because
it is a very successfully evolved
type of vessel.
Most of the higher evolved humanoids in
the universe have wings.
Fairies are not just a manifestation of
the earth spirit but of the universe as all
things are.
Just another example that we are all one.

For many rotations of the
earth did the fairies and all the earth
creatures dominate this planet.
Eventually the earth would begin the next
stage in her evolution.
Biological third dimensional organisms
began and eventually took over.
Don't think the forest just became what
it is today.
No the enchanted forest still exists as
it did just not on the surface of the earth but
inside underground.Fairies still come to the surface in energy form
but it takes a person who is connected to their
higher self to realize.
There is not a fairy alive that does not
take care of the forests here on the topside of
the earth as well as their own “real” forest.
Let's get into what is reality some other
time.
We are tuned to this third dimensional
channel so this is being pointed out from that
perspective.
they are mischievous and sometimes
have fun at our expense.
It is all in fun and games anyway and
often there is a higher purpose when all is said
and done.
Stories
of Fairies have been with us for thousands of years. They have been
prevalent in nearly every culture, on nearly every continent. Like
Dragons, Vampires and other legendary creatures, they seem to have the
ability to cross boundaries and be present in the folklore of most
countries. They range from stories of cute little pixie like creatures
that fly around magically and cause mischief to mysterious and powerful
ethereally beautiful High Elves. Even before Tolkien came into the
picture, there were stories of Fairies and the Daoine Sidhe or other
versions of tall humanoids with pointy ears. They all seem to have a
tendency to kidnap hapless victims who crossed their paths and have
magic that was both powerful and frightening. They had the ability to
beguile and bemuse, to hinder or help on a whim.
Fairies have not always been strictly about the cute and delicate looking pixies and the proud Elves that we associate them with today. They have a dark and varied past. From Evil Djinn to Celtic Water Horses, Red-Caps, pookas, Bane-sidhe, trolls, ogres and giants. Each creature has it's dangers and cautionary tales. The Djinn (or Genies) would grant wishes that would go horribly wrong. Water Horses would entice you to hop on for a ride and carry their helpless victims into deep water and drown them. Red-Caps would devour badly behaved children and dip their caps in their blood. Pookas were shape changing dry land versions of Water Horses would could appear in many forms from a Raven to a black horse. Then there was the Wild Hunt, which would slay anyone unfortunate enough to be in their path as they rode across the country side.
There are also the more innocent versions of Fairies. The little mischievous pixies who play tricks upon the mean and unwary. The brownies who keep house and help the thrifty and kind. Gnomes who tend gardens and help things grow. From simple bedtime fairy tales to cautionary tales of bloodshed and misery Fairies have been a favorite topic of conversation for those who love both the fanciful and the dangerous. Fascination with the magical world of Fairies, Elves, Gnomes and other magical creatures has always been a prevalent theme in our imaginations and hearts.
The Brothers Grimm made Fairies more commonly known. Magic and mysterious creatures that could hinder or help the Questing hero became a common feature in our fiction. Tolkien took all of this and created a work of fiction that has fired the imagination of millions of people all over the world. Now we have not only books and movies of Fairies and magic, but also Role Playing Games. From table top Dungeons and Dragons, Tale of the Five Rings, White Wolf Changeling on to World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online. Our fascination has become a cultural obsession that seems to have no end in sight. I for one am glad to know that Fairies will continue to be a part of our every day world as we stretch our imaginations and create more stories and games to entertain and enjoy. It is very difficult to say exactly how many types of fairy there are. People across the world use hundreds of fairy names. Sometimes different names are used for similar fairy types - goblin, kobold and brownie all describe household fairies. Sometimes, the same fairy name means different things to different people - an elf to a modern-day child in England may mean a small, pretty little creature that would do her no harm. But to a farmer a few hundred years ago, an elf was a wicked and malicious creature that could harm his cattle and steal away his children. Perhaps no one can really say how many kinds of fairy there are, especially because human beings are always inventing more! Did you know that some scholars consider aliens to be our modern fairy and films like Star Wars or Star Trek our modern fairytales?
